I actually really like all these scenes I think they honestly just added more substance to this movie. I’m not sure why they got rid of the last scene with Yoda especially it’s not even a minute

One of my very favorite movies..I watch it at least once a month!! My prom was in the same hotel that Pretty in Pink had theirs so it was always fun to see that room!! And personally...I would have chosen Duckie over any other!!! xo

One of my all time favourite films. I have watched it so many times.

The problem with this movie (besides the dress) is: both endings don't work. But IMO the released ending works better than the original ending.

Richard Matheson in this book , on the one hand shows a degree of contempt for religion , CHRISTIANITY in particular….. that said , inadvertently their is a bit of CHRISTIAN THEOLOGY that is in the course of events….. those in HELL are highly self absorbed and without any FAITH and a STUBBORNNESS of their own convictions; no humility open mindedness. That CHRIS IS WILLING TO RISK HIS SALVATION TO RESCUE HIS WIFE FROM DAMNATION TO THE POINT OF LIVING IN HELL WITH HER. Kind of like THE GOSPEL. Whether this was intentional on RICH’s part is open to speculation.

This movie teaches us that PUBERTY & HIGH SCHOOL horror is NORMAL. And are awful for most everyone. No need to do drastic things to your body or change who you are, or hurt yourself. ❤

Awesome movie would've been better if she had quit both the job and that whiny unsupportive boyfriend. Also, having been an extra in movies, I feel really bad for those minimum wage extras who are in scenes that got cut out. I was in a movie "Flipped", where Rebecca DeMornay actually touched my shoulder and asked if she could be let through to see a child's science project. When we went to the movies to see it, that whole scene had been cut out and I was like damn, that's the only evidence I was in this movie.

Very interesting movie. A sci fi movie along the lines of Altered States, Jacob's Ladder.....this film even borrows some plot nuggets from A Clockwork Orange (dangerous criminals experimented on in a hospital with modification therapy) and Frankenstein And The Monster From Hell (mad scientist experimenting on patients in a mental hospital). I can't say I like The Jacket as much as those other mentioned movies, but a good film nevertheless.

Now I understand why they deleted the scene of her sister testifying in the military court: because it never happened in real life; even all the perpetrators never fullly served their sentence! One of the perpetrator even became a founder of some white supremacist movement in the early 1990s.
